Who doesn’t love a little recreation?
recreation (n.) late 14c., noun of action from past participle stem of recreare “to refresh, restore, make anew, revive, invigorate,” from re- “again” + creare meaning “refresh oneself by some amusement” is first recorded c.1400.
While I love a great outing as much as anyone, I’m not talking about the “Parks and Recreation” type of recreation here… though it may be a bi-product of the process. Think instead of tired, out of date, forgotten made beautiful, purposeful and worthwhile. THIS is what I love.
I welcome you to this blog – and to my projects. I plan to share projects, techniques, step by step instruction and finished products – some of which will be available for sale. Use them, copy them, re-create them! Be inspired, be encouraged and be adventurous!
“Bring me your tired, your broken, your forgotten piles of things longing to be made new. The amassed and useless bits on your closet floor. Send these, the dusty donation bound and I will raise my brush and refresh and they will be lost no more”
